Michel Schaeffer

Michel Schaeffer was a board member of bol.com for over 14 years, in a period in which the company developed from start-up to the leading e-commerce company in the Benelux. Amongst other things, he was named Direct Marketing Man and Advertiser of the Year. After leaving bol.com, he was a supervisory director at Q-Park, CBRE Dutch Retail Fund and Hans Anders, advising organisations on digital and growth strategies.

Michel Schaeffer passed away from cancer in August 2019.

The first printing of  Het geheim van bol.com  was published September 12, 2017. The now 8th edition of this bestseller was published in 2020 in a special edition. It also contains the particularly beautiful letter Michel wrote to everyone who knew him, when he knew he would not get better. The book will undoubtedly give you insight and much inspiration. Michels letter will encourage you to do what makes you happy.
